THE STORY
Bewitched by the incredible, beckoning glow of the metaverse, the apes came…
From the jungles and rainforests, the mountains and savannahs, they came. And it was not long after they arrived that they discovered the Evo Factory and its band of maddened Modders.
Some of the Modders were kind, gentle humans who wanted nothing more than their ape subjects to achieve new heights of intelligence. Yet others were tortured souls, modders who saw the arrival of the apes as an opportunity to take out their anger and deploy all manner of deranged designs upon the apes…
The darkness of night was often lit up by the flashes that came from the Evo Factory – and if you listened closely, you could hear the shrieks and cries of primates in a state of metamorphosis. And so, one by one, they emerged.
Supercharged with cybernetic elements, enhanced processors and many more wild, wonderful augmentations, the Evolution Apes set out to wander the metaverse, learning more and more about the power they wielded and strange platform they now inhabited…
Some used their power for good – foraging for digital information across their new expanse as they fed their hunger for knowledge. Others, who begrudged their mechanisation at the hands of the Modders, plugged themselves into the metaverse to gather as much of digital gold as they could.
Whether hell-bent or benevolent, the Evolution Apes spread across the metaverse, and on their way encountered many more apes just like themselves – albeit with less wires and fewer welds.
